Art Classes Beginning in 2012

Life Book - a celebration and honouring of self! - This is an EPIC year long workshops which will commence on January 1st 2012! With monthly mixed media lessons by Tam and many additional lessons and other activities by 14 contributing mixed media art teachers, you will be chronicling your development and growth of 2012 in many mixed media pages which by the end of the year you will combine into a journal (or Life Book). You will be part of a thriving, buzzing and creative community of artsy people for a whole year. The course will be overflowing with lessons, exercises and activities to keep you inspired and motivated. Additionally you will also be challenged to include self celebration/ honouring/ healing exercises into your journal pages which are bound to make you feel good about yourself! Collage, Paint & Soul - This is a 2 hour workshop in which I show you how to create (from beginning to end) one of my 'paint over collage' pieces. This workshop recently ran (and is still running) on 21 Secrets. Digital Dreams - An Online Digital Art Course for Everyone! Now available as Self Study or DVD! Do you want to learn how to create beautiful digital art? On this course I'll take you through how I create my digital art step by step. Magical Mythical Makings - this course is now available on DVD and self study! Learn to make beautiful mythical beings in mixed media paintings! You'll be making Goddesses, Angels, Fairies, Mermaids and Unicorns! I cover the basics on a front facing and 3 quarter portrait but we'll also do full bodied figures. Additionally we'll let some of the old masters inspire us and we'll explore the different kinds of surfaces we can work on. Fabulous Faces - ran during January & February 2010 and had approx 110 students. The online course is now finished, but you can buy a DVD and read student reviews HERE or buy the DVD by clicking on the paypal button below. Have you always wanted to create pretty portraits? Are you fascinated with drawing faces but can't quite get them to look the way you want? Then this might be the course for you! Learn how to draw and shade a front facing portrait as well as a 3 quarter and a profile one! In addition you'll be learning about adding extra elements to your piece and background integration as well!

 

 

 

Ultimate World of Whimsy - This class ran online as World of Whimsy 2 (it included all the files of WOW 1 as well!) and it has now finished running online. You can now purchase access to the self study group and/ or buy a DVD containing all files for WOW 1 & WOW 2! The DVD & group contains 13 hours worth of lessons and countless PDFs. The materials cover creating a whimsical girl character from scratch, creating layered mixed media backgrounds, embellishing your piece, how to create darker skin tones, in depth info on how to look at using colour in your work and creating whimsical animal characters! Awesome Art Journal - This class ran in June 2009 for approx 60 students. It is no longer running live online but you can buy access to a self study group and/or order a DVD of the course.
