We’ll go step-by-step, beginning with intuitive first layers, then move on to using leaves as stencils, painting shadows, flowers and finally, choosing our groupings. Along the way we’ll talk about colour, composition and trusting your intuition.

About Michelle Nyberg
Michelle Nyberg (she/her) is a visual artist and teacher of online art classes, known for her joyful, impressionistic paintings in acrylic and mixed media. She draws inspiration from nature, with a particular focus on the gardens, forests, and beaches of Hornby Island, British Coumbia, Canada, where she has lived for over 25 years. She has exhibited in solo shows on Hornby Island and Vancouver Island, as well as participating in various group shows in British Columbia and online. Her paintings have brought joyful expression to collectors’ walls in Canada, the United States, Europe, and New Zealand.
As a teacher, Michelle encourages her students to strike a balance between playful experimentation and the more analytical side of art making. She believes that trusting your intuition and enjoying the process is the key to creating art that you love.
