Weaving and Watercolour
For this lesson; we’ll be playing with some stunning ArtStacks papers featured art by known artists including Tam’s Art! These papers, usually for sale, are available for you to download for free, scroll down to Free Gift for those! We’ll weave some magic with these papers into a wall hanging with a difference! We’ll incorporate simple watercolour techniques, use a variety of media such as sticks, beads (optional) and strong thread and use hand-sewing in a non-conventional way to create a striking effect.

About Heather McMahon
Heather McMahon began her creative journey back in 1999 when she first discovered scrapbooking. She went on to become a teacher, travelling interstate for expos, and became a “Master” at Scrapbooking Memories magazine. She regularly wrote articles for a number of scrapbooking magazines, back when printed magazines still existed!
Soon she discovered there was a whole world beyond scrapbooking and she found herself exploring art journaling and mixed media.
Her work is usually colour-driven. She loves bright colours but is equally entranced with neutral tones, pastels and strong contrasts. She believes that every colour combination gives its own unique feel to a piece. Her roots are still in paper but she loves exploring media in all its amazing and varied forms.
Heather now owns and runs ArtStacks, which specialises in producing images for all forms of papercrafting, both in printed and digital forms.
Heather can’t imagine life without papercrafting and figures she’ll probably die of old age with a pair of scissors in one hand and a paintbrush in the other!
