Do you struggle with your lettering and handwriting? This lesson (first published as part of Life Book 2012) helps you explore font types, different lettering styles, your own handwriting and looks at how to incorporate lettering into a piece of art effectively.

This class contains 2 projects. The first is the creation of a monthly calendar, with daily segments. You are encouraged to keep a record of your days by describing them in one or two words and using your new lettering skills to do so.

The second project covers creating a page with a semi-side portrait and supporting character while also including words/ lettering effectively. This one is good fun and really gives you a lot of suggestions around lettering! :) Includes more than 3.5 hours worth of video, a detailed PDF, no time limit on class access & downloadable videos.

Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint Soooo, my next class will be learning how to paint "expressive soul portraits" (omg so excited about this!) and currently editing the videos and LOVED this shot of one of the portraits mid-way. What I love about this way of working is that you can get all your raw emotions out and just make crazy messes to help facilitate all of the stuff that is going on for you and then you come out of the process refreshed and renewed and sometimes (not always) with an emotive, beautiful outcome, too! 😊 Check out all the layers and textures in this. Think at this point, it's about 30% into the painting process. It goes through a lot more transformation before it's finished.
