About Jennifer Wilkin Penick
Jennifer is both a practicing artist and a teacher. She works from her 18th-century carriage-house-turned-art-studio in Washington, DC. and teaches both in-person and online classes and workshops. She has been a Visual-Artist-in-Residence with MedStar Georgetown University Hospital’s Arts & Humanities Program since 2018.
Jennifer studied studio art at the undergraduate level and earned an MA in (Italian) Art History. She works predominantly in collage and mixed media, and enjoys layering textures and materials, images, patterns and colors. She adopts an eclectic mix of imagery in her work and frequently incorporates hand-painted papers.
