If you’re looking for a little creative inspiration this weekend, I’ve got something lovely for you! 💕

I’ve recently uploaded a FREE YouTube video in which I have lots of fun unboxing some gorgeous new art supplies AND creating a colourful, expressive mixed media art journal spread! 🌈✨

One of the things I absolutely ADORE about art journalling is how wonderfully liberating and cathartic it can be!

Your art journal is a place where there are NO RULES, no pressure and no expectations. You don’t have to create a masterpiece or make something beautiful to hang on a wall. You can simply show up, experiment, explore and PLAY!

You can splash paint around, make messy marks, scribble, doodle, layer colours, add collage, explore textures, write down your thoughts and feelings, and just let yourself GO! 🎨💖

There’s something incredibly freeing about having a creative space that’s entirely YOURS. A place where you can express what’s going on inside, process emotions, try new techniques, make glorious messes and discover happy accidents along the way.

Sometimes the most meaningful art comes from those moments when we stop trying to make something perfect and simply allow ourselves to CREATE. ❤️

In my latest video, I embrace all of that delicious creative freedom, playing with layers, colour, collage, mark-making and expressive portraiture to bring a new journal spread to life.
