This course was initially created to raise money for a water campaign. We raised over $14,100 USD for “charity: water” which helps to bring safe and clean water to people who need it. :) The water campaign is now closed and the Rainbow Mermaid workshop is now available as a mini workshop. It’s full of wonderful techniques and information! :)
Learn to make this beautiful mermaid in a whimsical style! I’ll show you step by step how to draw the face/ body, then how to shade the face, create beautiful detail and how to establish depth in the face. We’ll then have an awesome time creating a colourful background with sprays inks, and we’ll make beautiful flowy hair in a ‘zentangle’ type style, yay! :)

Supplies Needed
- 16 x 12” Watercolour Paper – Hot Pressed
- 140lbs (I use Daler Rowney The Langton)
- (or equivalent paper, a minimum of 140lbs)
- Watersoluble Crayons (Caran D’ache)
- Graphite Pencil 2b (mechanical or other)
- Black Posca or Sharpie Posterpaint pen – preferably waterproof
- White Posca or Sharpie Posterpaint pen
- Spray Inks (I used Dylusions)
- Stencils (optional)
- Golden High Flow Acrylics (Optional)
- Acrylics Paint Skin Tone Colour
