Work with the theme: ‘connecting with and celebrating that which we are close to in our community and close surroundings’. Technique-wise Tam shows you how to create one of her ‘signature’ whimsical floral/ natural paintings.
My latest painting. So enjoyed working on her cute little happy face. Fun little tidbit; was trying to make ‘squinty eyes’ as if she was looking into the sun, but failed and now they are just small eyes, but I love them so much. I usually draw more big eyed people so it was a pleasant surprise how this ended up. 😊

For the last 7 years I’ve been part of a great art event called Sketchbook Revival hosted by my friend @karenabend
Sketchbook Revival is a free creative event (with an optional bundle buy-in) with usually 35 or so artists who all share inspirational sketchbook techniques and exercises with you!
